Exotic Thai is a sativa-forward variety that leans classic: tall, vigorous plants that reward patience. Bred by crossing a Thai landrace with New York Diesel, it keeps an energetic, clear-headed profile while inheriting a bit more structure and compactness from the Diesel side. Expect a lively citrus-meets-incense aroma with sweet and slightly chemical top notes — a perfume-like bouquet that matches the strain’s sativa heritage. On consumption the effect is bright and stimulating: an energetic, focused lift rather than heavy sedation. That makes Exotic Thai a good daytime choice for creativity, activity, or social settings where mental clarity matters. It has been recognized in competition, taking a Sativa award at Expogrow (Irún) 2016. Growers should plan for tall plants and a relatively long bloom cycle. Indoor flowering typically runs from about 10 to 14 weeks, and yields are generally high when plants are given space and support; the Diesel influence tightens bud structure and can shorten the landrace’s original flowering time. Best suited to growers who can accommodate height and a longer finish to maximize production.
