Jamaican Pearl

Jamaican Pearl is a tall, sativa-dominant variety with a lively tropical character. Bred from a cross of Marley’s Collie and Early Pearl, it leans clearly toward sativa expression: expect energetic, uplifting notes alongside a mellow, relaxed finish. The smoke carries fruity and spicy overtones with a sweet, earthy base typical of Caribbean sativas. Jamaican Pearl has a reputation for a pleasant daytime-capable high that can also ease into calm relaxation by evening. On the grow side, Jamaican Pearl is vigorous and stretches into a tall canopy, so indoor growers often keep a short vegetative period or use training to control height. It flowers in about 9–11 weeks and is well suited to outdoor seasons where resistance to mold and humidity is useful—qualities inherited from its Early Pearl parent. Yields are generally high when managed properly, making it a reliable choice for gardeners who can accommodate its stature. Notably, this variety won a cup award (Highlife 1999), reflecting its strong performance and desirable profile.
