Malawi

Malawi is a classic 100% sativa landrace line known for towering plants, long flowering and an unapologetically intense high. With reported THC around 24–27% and negligible CBD (~0.08%), this variety delivers a very potent, cerebral and psychedelic sensation that can last several hours. The terpene profile leans heavily on myrcene with meaningful limonene and pinene, and sesquiterpenes such as caryophyllene, humulene and bisabolol add woody, spicy and slightly floral herbal notes. Aromas are typically oily wood with bright lemon overtones; some phenotypes also show sweet carrot or ripe mandarin nuances. For growers Malawi is demanding but rewarding. Plants grow tall with medium internodal spacing and vigorous branching, favoring outdoor tropical or subtropical conditions; it can also be pushed successfully in warm coastal climates up to high latitudes. Flowering is long — roughly 10–14 weeks — and overall yield potential is high, especially when trained (SOG/SCROG) or given plenty of vertical space. Resistance to heat and several common pathogens is solid, but this sativa prefers experienced hands: strong light, controlled nutrients (moderate N in veg, moderate–high during bloom) and room to develop are recommended. Expect a challenging but high-producing crop for growers who want a pure, powerful sativa.
